This Privacy Policy explains how Precision Tutoring ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use the Edexcel IGCSE Chemistry CVQL platform ("the Platform").
1. Who We Are
The Platform is operated by Precision Tutoring, run by George Draganov. You can contact us at precisiontutorings@gmail.com.
2. What Data We Collect
- Account data: your email address and encrypted password (stored via Supabase).
- Usage data: quiz scores, checklist progress, mock paper results, and flashcard activity — stored locally on your device and, where applicable, linked to your account.
- Payment data: we do not collect or store card or bank details. In the iOS app, subscription payments are processed entirely by Apple through In-App Purchase — we receive only your subscription status, never your payment details. On the website, payments are made by bank transfer directly to Gp Dynamic Ltd.
- Technical data: browser type, device type, and IP address collected automatically for security and platform improvement.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and maintain your account.
- To track your revision progress and personalise your experience.
- To process your subscription and confirm payment.
- To respond to support enquiries.
- To improve the Platform.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data on the basis of contractual necessity (to provide the service you signed up for) and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Platform. Where required by law, we will seek your explicit consent.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with:
- Supabase — our database and authentication provider, which stores your account data securely in the EU.
- Apple — if you subscribe through the iOS app, Apple processes your payment and shares your subscription status with us.
- Anthropic — if you use AI marking (Examiner plan), the text of your written answer is processed by Anthropic's AI service to generate feedback. No account details are included with the answer text.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us.
7. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to: access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; object to processing; and lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk).
8. Cookies and Local Storage
The Platform uses browser localStorage to save your quiz scores and revision progress on your device. No third-party tracking cookies are used.
9. Security
We use industry-standard encryption and security measures. Your password is never stored in plain text.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
